Why is this resort unique?
The uniqueness of this hotel begins with its location in one of Mexico’s highest-altitude cities (8,000 feet). But what makes Quinta Real Zacatecas truly unusual is the remarkable ingenuity with which the character and beauty of the original structure have been preserved. The hotel is built into the grandstand of the restored 19th-century San Pedro bullfighting ring, which witnessed its last corrida in 1975. This extraordinary restoration effort extends to the restaurant and bar located at the edge of El Ruedo, a former bullring now converted into a colonial-style, cobblestone patio, landscaped with abundant flowers. The resort is also a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Site.
